Week One

This week was pretty short, as the challenge started Thursday. But I was able to get a bit of work done.

Both the Karakul and Shetland are spun and just waiting to be put into cones so I can have my bobbins back.

I was really surprised at how similar the colors turned out. The Karakul originally looked like it had a lot more brown in it. Turns out that it was just a really dirty fleece. The Karakul was z spun for the warp and the Shetland cross was S spun for the weft.

My underdress was also cut out and started. After many cups of coffee and most of a Harry Potter marathon, I have both sleeves and a side gore on.

It takes a bit because each seam is sewn the 3 times. Once to join, once to enclose and once to tack down.

Next week, the goal is the finish the underdress and start my stockings.
