Countdown to the Ball: 28, 27, 26

3 good days of sewing and I'm happy to say that my dress is pretty much done.

The skirt was just two large panels, one front and one back. I evened up the bottom, taking a couple inches off, and then sewed the sides together. It got hemmed and then the top was folded down two inches and then folded over again, to enclose the raw edges and give some padding to the pleats. I eyeballed the box pleats, but discovered after sewing the back into place that I needed more fabric in the front so the side seams are more side-adjacent. I whip-stitched the pleats together at the top and then stitched them to the bodice.

The lining was an olive green linen that I bought last year at Pennsic that matches pretty well.

The only thing left is the lacing rings and maybe some trim, and to make my sleeves. And then on to Adam's outfit.
